Liza Veysikh

Liza is in her 6th year teaching Spanish and is currently on staff at George Washington High School.   She grew up in Denver, but she is originally from Belarus. Liza graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Denver. Additionally, she received a Masters in 2016 in Secondary Education from Regis University, spending a semester in Spain while in college. She started teaching in elementary schools and has taught at several high schools in Cherry Creek and Denver Public Schools. Liza has taught all levels of Spanish including Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4 as well as IB and AP. She has also prepared students for the SAT Subject test in Spanish. 
 
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, traveling and spending time with her family. She also adores cats and speaks three languages fluently (Spanish, English, and Russian) as well as a bit of French and Portuguese.
