SUMMER 2012 summer enrichment classes.  Private and small group tutoring is also available this summer.

Math tutoring is available for all ages/levels this summer.  Call for more information.

  • Math Foundations – Does your student “hate math?”  Is math a continual struggle for your student, or do you suspect there are gaps in your student’s math knowledge?  Each day during the school year we work with students like this,  so we developed this summer enrichment course specifically with them in mind.  Without a strong foundation in math, it is very difficult to successfully build new math concepts.  Students lacking a strong foundation in math continue to struggle year after year after year.  This class  helps students strengthen key foundational math concepts so that new concepts can more easily be learned and sustained, and the cycle of yearly struggles in math can finally be broken.  The class also identifies areas of weakness that can continue to be addressed during the school year if necessary.  Math Foundations will be held from 9am-1pm from Monday, August 6 through Friday, August 10.  Tuition – $349 ($299 if registered and paid by May 15).  Recommended for any student who has completed 1 semester of Algebra and above (Alg II, Trig, Pre-Calculus).  Not recommended for students who have not taken any Algebra.
  • Math Strengths Assessment – This is a one-time math strengths assessment designed for all students who are either about to enter Algebra or have just completed Algebra or higher level math class.  Would you like to know if your student has a strong foundation in math?  Trust us when we tell you that A’s and B’s in math, especially through middle school, do not always correlate with a strong understanding of important math concepts.  The strengths assessment will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 9am-12pm. After the assessment, you will receive a comprehensive review of all of the key Pre-Algebra and Algebra concepts students must know, and how your student scored in each key area. Once you know the areas of weakness, they can be appropriately addressed.  The assessment results will be returned in-person on Wednesday, June 14 from 6:30-730. Cost: $99.
  • 2012 Math Camp -  For 4th, 5th and 6th grade students.  This class  makes Math FUN and is designed to engage the learner with hands on activities and opportunities to put new found Math skills to work.  Math Camp is a high energy, active class involving both classroom and outside activities.  It will be held from 9am-12pm Mon-Fri From July 19-23.  Tuition for the week is $295CLASS IS FULL
